We've enjoyed exploring shape this half term as well as getting creative, making our own shields and wild animals amongst other things. We've also enjoyed watching our caterpillars grow and making our own playdough versions. And we've had lots of fun in the sun this week, we especially enjoyed chasing bubbles on the school field . . .

We had lots of fun exploring and experimenting with our grown ups at our Mini Science Fair last half term . . .
We've really enjoyed celebrating Easter at Preschool. Amongst other things, we've made chocolate nests, hunted for eggs, held bunny-races and had an Easter party with our grown ups. Have a lovely Easter everyone!
We've had a very busy 2 weeks in Preschool. Brayson's Dad kindly brought in his pet snake for us to meet -it was very exciting and the children were all very brave! We enjoyed dressing up to celebrate World Book Day -the children's costumes were all amazing! A Police Officer came in to talk to us as part of our 'People Who Help Us' topic, we enjoyed looking around the police van and listening to the sirens. We've also been solving crimes and helping people in our own role play Police Station at Preschool. This week we've been learning how to cross the road safely with our 'Stop, Look, Listen, Think' song and have been enjoying our new kitchen -a big thank you to the PTA for buying it for us!
We've been learning about doctors, nurses, paramedics and firefighters as part of our 'People Who Help Us' topic. We've had lots of fun making fire engines, rescuing people and looking after each other in our Hospital. We also enjoyed learning some cricket skills last week.
We enjoyed making dragons and joining in with our own 'Dragon Dance' as well as cooking and eating a delicious stir fry to celebrate Chinese New Year before Half Term.
We've been having lots of fun meeting each other's pets and playing at being vets at Preschool. Thank you to all the children and their grown-ups who brought in pets for us to meet!
We've been reading 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' this week. We've re-told the story together in lots of different ways. We've also been enjoying the cold weather -we snipped some branches from an old Christmas tree and left them in the water tray outside overnight to see what would happen. We had lots of fun smashing the ice with our hammers!
We all had a lovely time at our 'Sing Along' and party today. The children all sang amazingly -well done everyone! We had party food, played games and did some Christmas activities with our grown ups -thank you to everyone who came along! And, of course, we had a visit from Santa -thank you Santa! Have a lovely Christmas everyone!
The children received a letter from Santa last week, explaining that his Elves are poorly and asking us to help him get ready for Christmas. The children have been busy helping to make toys and wrap presents in Santa's workshop as well as making decorations, making their Christmas lists and decorating the tree. It's been lots of fun!
