Just a reminder of some sites providing free educational activities which you may find useful at home:
Reading and phonics
Mathematics
In our survey, some of you suggested that it might be good to have a day of different activities where pupils can do something different to the maths and English. There is no expectation that you have to stick to the daily maths and English lessons; we really want the home learning experience to be positive for families. I have gathered some new resources which I have been sent and have collated them below for you to try at home:
Chicken wire sculptures Free learning resources from UK zoos Online escape adventures The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra invited school children to create rainbows to accompany their video arrangement of Over the Rainbow which is dedicated to the NHS. Tegan (Year 6) created a beautiful rainbow and submitted it to be considered. They must have loved it, as her rainbow was one of those chosen! Click on the link to here to watch the full video and see if you can spot Tegan and her rainbow. Cookery Club for Year 1 pupils is happening at home. The recipe for jam tarts has been sent to children and here is Reuben with his video and finished tasty treats. Don't forget you can also make other things we have learnt in cookery club such as apple crumble, biscuits, pizza and scones. Has anyone else got a new pet recently? The gallery below shows Payton with her new Gecko and also gives a sneak preview of Hugo Marvin who will be coming to live with us tomorrow! We're very excited! Please click here for the latest information update from Mrs Underwood.
I would be very grateful if you could complete the survey (one for each of your children) before 23:59 Monday 20th April. Please use the link below or in the accompanying email. The survey should only take around 2-3 minutes to complete. Depending on how the next few weeks unfold, we may repeat the survey, to allow us to monitor any new issues should they arise as the situation develops further.
