We start the new term with a Fairy Tale theme to our home learning. This week will be Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Click on the links below to access the weekly topic web of activities and additional worksheets to accompany this week's theme. I look forward to hearing all about your Goldilocks and Bear themed learning. You might even enjoy some porridge if it's just right! goldilocks_themed_home_learning_year_r.pdf
sorry_letter_template.pdf missing_numbers_.pdf goldilocks_story_and_comprehension.pdf Here is the link for this half term's Religious Education lessons. It is based on the story of Noah's Ark and making a rainbow of hopes, which is particularly relevant at the moment. I wonder what will appear on your finished rainbow? noahs_ark_and_rainbow_re_activity_.pdf Here is a suggested daily plan for your Year R child. This may seem like a lot to fit in but timings show that it would be approx. 3 hours learning, interspersed with learning through play and other additional activities as you see fit.
Of course you may want to reorder the activities during the day to suit you and your child’s needs. Please see the weekly overview for further details and activity ideas. Here are some other useful websites to add variety and additional aspects to your home learning: www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies - numberblocks, alphablocks www.twinkl.co.uk - a range of resources to download, free access for downloads at present and great for our topic. www.phonicsplay.co.uk We are on phase 3 with recaps of phase 2. Please be mindful that we have taught some sounds with a different spelling (ay not ai). Free home access at present using: Username: march20 Password:home www.phonicsplaycomics.co.uk phonetic comics to read for free. Wishing you all a very Happy Easter.
Mrs Glover is busy in the lambing shed, Mrs Snell has made a Simnel cake for her family, Mrs Culverhouse is counting her Easter chocolate (to share out of course!) and Mrs Bond is making sure she gets her daily exercise. We are sending you all our very best wishes for Easter. Here are some photos sent in from Year R families showing a variety of activities they have been enjoying during our first week of home learning. We hope you enjoy looking through the slideshow and spotting some ideas and familiar faces. During our topic this half term we have discussed how some animals can camouflage to their surroundings in order to hide from predators or sneak up on their prey. Check out this website to see some amazing camouflaged animals... you'll have to look carefully, they are tricky to spot.
