Year Two thoroughly enjoyed our visit from the Bookery. We loved listening to the book reviews and had great fun choosing our new books!
Year Two had great fun enjoying some cricket in the sunshine with Niall from Devon cricket on Friday.
This week in Science Year Two were out and about in the school grounds, looking for items that were natural or man made. We had some great discussions around why they were natural or man made.
As part of our Saints P.E session with Mr Berry, this week the children were focusing on the 'N' from Saints. The children had to create their own tennis based skills games, for another group to complete. There was some super new thinking and some excellent team work.
As part of our Science work on materials, we looked at whether materials were waterproof or not and what this meant. The children talked lots about absorbing and repelling the water and tested a range of different materials.
As part of our Computing topic this half term we are going to be looking at word processing. In preparation for this, we had a go at a touch typing game to help us to develop the keyboard skills that we will need to be able to type effectively.
Mrs Dennis. As part of our Science topic Materials, we carried out an experiment to see which of the different materials would be the most absorbent and the best for mopping up a spill. We had to create a hypothesis before we started the experiment and we were then able to review this at the end of our experiment.
