During our weekly Saints PE sessions we have been practising our cricket skills. Here are a few photos to show how we are getting along.
We are excited to have 5 new pet caterpillars in class. We will watch them grow and change, so look out for more photos as the weeks go by. Inspired by their arrival, there has been lots of caterpillar and butterfly talk this week. We have enjoyed a great end to the half term by celebrating two weddings. Lowri and Quinn were our bride and groom for the Muslim ceremony, then Josh and Elsie tied the knot at the Christian wedding. We were able to compare the two events and then finish off with cake, fizz and dancing back in class. We completed our sponsored laps of the playground. Every child completed 4 laps and some children even challenged themselves to run 5 or 6! Well done everyone.
We had great fun setting up our own gymkhana in the playground today. We took it in turns to make jumps, time how long each round took and write our scores. We also enjoyed making our own rosettes and thinking up the names of our horses.
This week we have enjoyed lots of fairy tale themed fun. We have made a puppet theatre in class and have been selling tickets for our own shows; they have been very entertaining. We also drew fairy tale maps for Beebot to move around, made our own wands and had great fun creating potions. Beware of the trolls!!!!
We have enjoyed the story of the Gingerbread Man this week. Here are some photos of the things we have been doing in class.
We enjoyed a great day outdoors on Monday. In the morning we went to the forest school and made gingerbread men out of clay, they dried on our camp fire. In the afternoon we visited Mrs Glover's farm. We saw piglets, lambs, chickens and a cow about to have her calf. This week we have read the story of Jack and the beanstalk and planted our own bean seeds. Then we used fixing and joining skills to make our own plants.
